This is a third-party community project by Kizzuwatnaa, not DLSS 5 Swapper. No game files, NVIDIA binaries, or third-party code are bundled — everything is fetched from the original publishers at run time. Treat it as a single-player experiment; anti-cheat titles can flag injected files.

DLSS 5 Autopilot finds PC games and supported emulators, reads each title, picks a route that fits the game and your card, then downloads every part from its publisher. It can also keep a game's own DLSS Super Resolution, Ray Reconstruction, and Frame Generation files current. It is not bundled with DLSS 5 Swapper.

Get started:

  1. Download DLSS5-Autopilot-v2.0.8-win64.zip from GitHub, extract it, and run dlss5-autopilot.exe. No installer and no administrator rights.
  2. Press find my games. It scans Steam, Epic, GOG, EA, Ubisoft, Battle.net, Rockstar, Amazon, itch, Heroic, Xbox / Game Pass, common Games folders, and 19 emulators. Use add a game for anything else.
  3. Open a game and press install. The tool has already read the executable, chosen one of eight routes, and will fetch the matching files. Then play, press the overlay key it names, and use did it work? to read the logs.
  4. uninstall removes exactly what it wrote and restores replaced files.

Official NVIDIA DLSS 5 targets RTX 50. Community runtimes cover RTX 40, 30, and 20. GTX, RTX 16, AMD, and Intel cards are not installed from this tool.

What it does

  • Library in one press. Covers plus a status line: installed, working, needs a look, update, or anti-cheat. Steam, Epic, GOG, EA, Ubisoft, Battle.net, Rockstar, Xbox, folders, and 19 emulators.
  • Eight routes. DirectX 8–12, Vulkan, OpenGL, 32-bit, emulators, and RTX Remix mods. settings shows only what that route uses.
  • It checks its own work. After you close the game, did it work? reads ReShade, feeder, OptiScaler, Remix, and Windows crash logs. autopilot can install, launch, inspect loaded DLLs, and try the next route (experimental).
  • Keep DLSS current. The dlss page lists Super Resolution, Frame Generation, and Ray Reconstruction versions against NVIDIA's newest, including games Autopilot never installed into.
  • Beyond games. Video / YouTube / webcam through a portable MPC-HC, RTX Remix mods, and an experimental OpenXR VR layer.

Which route a game gets

The route dropdown lists every route the game allows, marks the recommended one, and marks what your card cannot run. Shared community results can move the recommendation.

  • native — Krish's renodx-dlss5 add-on hooks DLSS calls the game already makes (64-bit D3D12 with DLSS).
  • neural-upstream — runs the network at render resolution before the game's DLSS upscales (64-bit D3D12 with DLSS).
  • optiscaler — OptiScaler fork replaces the upscaler and runs the model over its output; no ReShade. Optional FSR 3.1 frame generation on D3D12.
  • bridge — dlss5-bridge mirrors the game's DLSS contract onto a private D3D12 session (D3D11 and Vulkan with DLSS).
  • feeder — DLSS5-Feeder builds a DLAA contract from ReShade depth and motion vectors (games with no DLSS, including 32-bit via host64).
  • standalone-dlssnr — kibblerz add-on with its own feed, DLAA or DLSS Super Resolution, and Frame Generation (experimental).
  • renodx-dlss — ShortFuse add-on for 64-bit DirectX 9.
  • remix — DLSS 5 inside an RTX Remix runtime when a .trex folder is present. Remix always wins over ReShade.

Online games with anti-cheat (BattlEye, EAC, Vanguard, and others) are marked in the library and ask for confirmation. ReShade add-ons and anti-cheat do not coexist.

Your graphics card

  • RTX 50 — NVIDIA's own nvngx_dlssnr.dll (full speed).
  • RTX 40 — community 310.8.0-RTX40 build (moderate cost).
  • RTX 20 / 30 — community FP16 build; heavy — about half the FPS at 100% model resolution; use the work-area dial.
  • GTX, RTX 16, AMD, Intel — not installed from this tool. Neural rendering needs NVIDIA's nvngx_dlssnr.dll.

What changed in v2.0.8

Updating from 2.0.x with update now downloads this build, checks SHA-256 against the published SHA256SUMS.txt, and offers a one-click restart. Settings, library, hidden games, and profiles carry over.

Added and fixed:

  • did it work? can read DLSS5-Feeder 1.18.0-beta.1 log lines when NGX refuses to create DLSS, and names both feeder add-ons in one folder as a fault. The default feeder is still the newest stable release.
  • The Remix route reads the swapped runtime log (lunks/dxvk-remix-plus-dlssnr). A pass switched off, or a log with no neural line, is not filed as failed.
  • The OptiScaler route, with no OptiScaler log, reads which DLLs the game had loaded and names a proxy the game did not load.
  • A Remix log from before the install is no longer read as "Remix ran".
  • report a bug now keeps the same log window the check uses (400 KB), and OptiScaler reports take the last run only.

In-game keys (defaults)

  • optiscaler — Insert opens the overlay; Neural Rendering is already on.
  • native / bridge — Home → DLSS 5 tab → Neural Rendering on (F5 toggles it in add-on 4.6+).
  • neural-upstream — Home → NR Pre-Upscale tab; keep the game's DLSS on.
  • feeder — Home → enable the feed and DLSS 5 panel. 32-bit games use a helper window.
  • renodx-dlss — Home → RenoDX DLSS tab.
  • remix — Alt+X → Developer Settings → Post-Processing → Enable Neural Uplift.
  • standalone-dlssnr — F10 compares. Overlay keys can be rebound in the game's settings.

Requirements

  • Windows 10/11 x64. One portable dlss5-autopilot.exe; no admin.
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 20 or newer. Official DLSS 5 is for RTX 50; older RTX cards use community runtimes.
  • Internet access at install time. Components come from reshade.me, GitHub, and NVIDIA's own repositories — nothing is bundled in the ZIP.
  • Verify the zip with SHA256SUMS.txt from the same v2.0.8 release.
  • Single-player only. Do not install into anti-cheat or online-protected titles.

FAQ

  • Is this DLSS 5 Swapper? No. Autopilot is a separate portable installer by Kizzuwatnaa. Swapper is a library tool that installs and restores DLSS files.
  • Are ReShade and NVIDIA DLLs included? No. The ZIP is installer logic only. Files are fetched from original publishers when you press install.
  • Does it need administrator rights? No. It writes into game folders you choose, plus %LOCALAPPDATA%\dlss5-autopilot.
  • Can I run it from source? Yes. Python 3.10+ with the standard library and tkinter: python dlss5_autopilot.py.
